In a Nut Shell:

KM Trading is dedicated to providing the utmost in service to our clients with a "mean what we say - say what we mean" mentality. With all the bad press many high end firms have received in the last couple years, our integrity and hard work ethic has served us well.

Over the past 36 months with the change in outlook, financial markets have plunged from the highs of Spring 2000 to the lows of post September 11, and have rebounded to more digestible levels, and then back down again. (Dow Average: 11,500 to 8,500 to 10,000 back to 7,500). Despite this volatility, most market indices are up (or level with) over the past five years reflecting the strong performance of the economy and the low level of interest rates. With a slow recovery in business profits and the likely increase in interest rates, market values will remain flat and volatile until earnings and stability return. Let KM Trading be your guide!

Defining Market Trends:

1. Market Stage: Trends that usually last more than one month.

Market Stages can be defined using the following trends: Uptrend, Downtrend Resistance Corridor, and Support Corridor

2. Market Status: Mid- and short-term trends.

A mid-term trend is any trend that lasts between several days to several weeks, and a short-term trend is one that generally only lasts a few days or sometimes only a few hours.

Defining types of trades:

1. Long-term trading:

Only 5-10 conservative trades per year are needed to follow this trading method. Little quantitative analysis needs to be done by a long-term trader, who doesn't need to worry about short- and mid-term fluctuations!

2. Mid-term trading:

Mid-term traders only really need to pay attention to our Market Stage section, but with some emphasis on our Market Status section as well. Mid-term traders use the Market Stage to understand the general market trend and the Market Status section to know where the market is headed in the coming days and weeks.

3. Short-term trading:

Short-term traders mainly concentrate on Market Status section of the Market Commentary, in which we outline the market's direction in the coming days. We also suggest that short-term traders follow other indicators in order to keep ahead of the market hour by hour

4. Or as a trading indicator:

As many traders do, you can use commentaries as an additional trading indicator to reduce trading risk.

This Week's Investment Tip

If you had invested $1,000.00. with Enron...... you would have $16.50 left.

If you had invested $1,000.00.with Worldcom...... you would have less than $5.00 left.

If you had bought $1,000.00 worth of Budweiser (the beer, not the stock) one year ago, drunk all the beer, then turned in the cans for the deposit..... you would have $214.00. Based on the above data, my current investment advice is to Drink heavily and recycle. This is a new retirement program, I call it the 401Keg.
